In the year 2019, a friendly rivalry between the only two news reporting stations in TIS arose. Ever since the sudden launch of Out- sight TV, the station has gained quite a repu- tation amongst the student body. Its relatable and comic content has the whole student body anticipating their videos by the end of each week. However, the celebrated Insight TV, is well known for its reports on amazing ac- complishments and informative content the school has to offer as well as the International awards the club has managed to win. Further investigation on this topic resulted in the collection of different points of views from members of each group Adoma Agyare (President of Insight TV) : What inspired you to join Insight TV? Honestly, Insight TV has been in TIS for years, unfortunately, it went dormant for a few years. When the opportunity arose to join, I couldn’t help but join and bring back insight TV to represent TIS. How successful do you think Insight TV has been? Insight has been very successful, from our videos constantly being played at the primary campus to showcase TIS to our corporations that bring light to many problems in today’s world. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to fulfill all the past aspects of Insight TV and Outsight TV has been able to fill our gap but we’re still able to represent TIS as the most formal video station. A lot of people look forward to Outsight TV videos, how do you feel about that? Honestly, Outsight has been able to successfully grasp the student body with constant funny content and wonderful editing, but Insight TV’s target market extends further than the student body. Our job is representing the whole TIS body as well as inform members outside of TIS about the school, its projects and of course Insight itself. The formation of Outsight TV has lessened the workload and has allowed us to focus on repre- senting Tema International School as a whole. This helps us, honestly, we enjoy Outsight TV, and most times we can’t wait to see what Outsight has next. Darin Sarpong (Presenter and active member of Out- sight TV): When you joined Outsight TV how successful did you think it would be? I won’t lie to you, I thought it would be a flop. We were just a group of friends in the entertainment committee that wanted to go the extra mile to make fun videos to entertain the school. Insight TV was already set up and successful which was intimidating, but little did we know that we would have shot off the charts just as fast. What’s your opinion on Insight TV? Insight is such a positive motivation to us; the whole idea of Outsight was inspired by them. They do best to be informative in such a nice way. They are like a fun bulletin. However, Outsight is better :) What inspired you to join Outsight TV? It is more who inspired than what.Noelle Mends Addison, the previous enter- tainment committee executive always encouraged us to do something more than planning weekly Saturday night en- tertainments. However, the question was what to do? After watching an Insight TV video at morning assembly I heard someone say, “the idea is too cool to be this formal don’t you think?” This sparked an idea in a couple of friends and I, and so, Outsight TV was birthed. Do you enjoy taking part? Without a doubt! I enjoy making people happy and entertained wherever I am, and to be part of Outsight TV makes this happen which is a huge plus for me.
