There wasn’t a more heartwarming way to end the year! We carved smiles in the faces of the children, as we journeyed from orphanage to orphanage. We were rewarded with a feeling of fulfillment as we knew that we had changed the lives of others. From a GH¢ 600.00 cash donation towards the cleaning of a septic tank to providing dust bins, toothbrushes, tubes of toothpaste and even sanitary pads! We tried our best to make a significant impact. Our motive was to donate health and sanitation equipment while having first aid and personal hygiene workshops with the orphans. This was to tackle the third Sustainable Development Goal, that is, good health and wellbeing .We were pleased to see the enthusiasm the children displayed on matters about their personal hygiene and health. It was a memorable experience giving to the children of the four orphanages (Save Them Young Orphanage, Handi-Vangelism Resource Center, Christ Faith Foster Home, and Lighthouse Christian Children’s Home). Now, we are rest assured that they are well protected from injuries and diseases. We are very grateful to have been given the opportunity to have such a great impact on the lives of others. We learnt a few life lessons ourselves through this wonderful journey; one’s that will help us to make the world a better place. At Heritaid, we strongly believe that every life is valuable and must be cherished and appreciated. This is why we do what we do, it is never too early to start achieving!
