The current, is here. Sweeping me away into obscurity, leaving me longing for the illusion of tomorrow’s security It stays. Stagnant. Unmoving. Unwanting to let go. Refusing to resolve the instability of my soul I stand. Through the trials and tests of ordinary days, through the same routine, my gratitude is found in-between the cracks of my uncertainty, my gratitude is a patchwork of stitches called Holy Trinity. God’s love. God’s love is the beginning and the end, is the eternal current that flows from this shimmering faucet of love, penetrates my heart, tends the flowers growing in it, chokes out the weeds, is a gardener. His love stirs up my soul, grace cascading from non-existent waterfalls here. In this current moment. Draped in the cloak of supremacy died to save humanity is His son. Emmanuel. Just the two of us, walking hand in hand into eternal haven. Where every star is a thought. And each and every galaxy is a cluster of thoughts that run through my mind like randomised film tape. Here, in this current moment, he imparts these words into me: and when the sky grows dark, and the sun stands still, and the clouds whisper to you but you no longer hear their beckoning, and your human anatomy crumbles under its own complexity, I want you to know, No, I crave for you to know, that you are, Loved. -Daniella(G12) Current 35 |
