STOR ES UN TOLD U The Red eyes: They say it lurks in the shadows at night and waits for its next victim. It hovers around the bathroom, thirsty for a prey, and you walk in, BAM! The terrifying death stare peruses the depths of your soul and ignites and a flame of fear till you are left paralyzed. The only mistake you made -apart from walking in, was looking straight into the mirror. That’s when it gripped you and sent your pulse racing causing adrenaline to flood your system. So for whoever is to venture to the washroom at night, ‘red eyes’ awaits you. The floating baby Head That day it was his word against theirs. He narrates the incident like this: He was more than ready to get into bed after tirelessly learning during prep. But as he entered his room, he was met by what was yet to be known as ‘the floating baby head’. Terrified, he let out a scream and told his friends about what he had seen. They all mus- tered the courage to go see what he had just described- and it was gone. Disappeared, never to be seen again. But the story was passed on from generation to generation, leaving patches of fear and curiosity in the hearts of young boys. After years of no leads, the story died down. But some believe it’s still out there- waiting for the perfect time, the perfect place, and the perfect victim. | 30
