Over the vacation a group of IB1 students embarked on two outreaches to two Health Centres within the Tema Metropolis. Members of Girls United visited the Adolescent Centres at Manhean Health Centre and Tema General Hospital to interact with a number of teenage pregnant ladies and also donated a number of aid items to them.
Both outreaches enabled the students to have firsthand information about the plights of teenage pregnancy. In the coming weeks, the members of Girls United will share their experiences with the Tema International School Community.
