Abigail Denkyi sent the following message to the IB class of 2016 for their support
Dear friends of the IB class of 2016. I will forever remember you and your kindness towards me. Thank you so much for being there when I needed help. I am already writing my final exams and I believe you will do very well in yours. Do your best as always and trust God. I hope to be part of your graduation. I love you and will forever remember you. Yours, Abigail Denkyi.
Abigail Denkyi’s current status
For the past 6 weeks she has been taking a blood booster in preparation for the transplant. We pray that by end of April she would have recovered from severe anaemia and is ready for the surgery. For the time being, she is doing her dialyses 3 times a week and also writing the WASSCCE exams. Keep Abigail in your prayers. We believe that this year, she will have a new and healthy kidney and do very well in her examinations. Next year, Abigail hopes to be in the university studying Nursing – Yes, she can! She wants to give back to society after overcoming such a challenging situation in her life.
Status Mawuena Dsvor Atsu’s support
While proceeds from Chocolate Friendship Day, Expression 2016, 3 Way Interviews, CAS exhibitions and Junior Community Service club made a total of GH₵24,217.04 there is still an amount of GH₵7,783.00 left to meet our target of GH₵32,000.00 We are counting on YOU to save Mawuena’s life.
Let’s have in mind that by 15 May, 2016, we should have raised the total amount of GH₵ 32,000 towards Mawuena’s heart surgery as his condition is critical, and hence, he requires the surgery as soon as possible. A group of students and staff will make the payment at Korle-bu hospital on behalf of our little boy, Mawuena. Join us in making a difference.
