With the above in mind, and with Mawuena Atsu Davor at heart, the path was clear to commence the journey to ‘save a life’. The energy of students in putting together all the wares: from Art & Craft, Bead Making, GardenHolics, Soap Making, cooking, to Photography, was simply contagious. It was a period of giving, but this time, it was not about giving material things or money. It was about giving that which could not be bought: our might, our will, our enthusiasm, and most importantly, our time. Students had already understood and believed in the cause at hand and as a result, gave their all and worked tirelessly to help achieve it was not in the least difficult. The beautiful CAS fair that occupied the gardens was all made possible by students who had love for what they were doing.

Art & Craft blessed the fair with amazing pots & craft works meticulously calligraphed by students and decorated with fashionable beads from the bead making class.

From the Cure Aid group came the sweet scented Lyon Liquid Soap for washing hands and for all domestic uses.

GardenHolics did their magic with all the Cactus & Succulents while the cooking team came up with the delicious Yam Chips & Pork Chops and appetising chicken saute & vegetable rice.

It was altogether a beautiful and worthwhile experience, and of course our students and some parents had the following to say:

“Expression is one of my favourite TIS events and it’s something I always look forward to. The CAS Fair blows my mind each year and this year, I was lucky enough to be part of it. I learnt to be patient and it enhanced my calligraphy skills. But above all, I learnt to persevere as I had to stay beyond midnight during the last few days to make sure things got done. “Unforgettable moments in the form of printed pictures were sold by the TIS Photography Club to support the heart surgery of Mawuena. I was on duty at the stand from 4pm until the program concluded and at the end of the day I had managed to sell majority of the pictures. ~Yaa Dwomoh Addai (Grade 9)

“I cannot begin to express how elated I am at the success of the CAS Fair. It was definitely worth the sleepless nights on my feet and the brainstorming sessions deep into the night.
