Rotary International Ghana, has nicknamed the Interact Club of TIS as the most Promising Club and indeed the club is living up to standards. As shared over the past months, the Club raised GHC58, 734 to support LittleBigSoulsGhana Foundation, who are concerned with Premature Babies and Maternal issues in Ghana. Through tally cards, food sales and sponsorship, especially from 3M & C Medical Diagnostics, the club was able to purchase an incubator for Tema General Hospital.
LittleBigSoulsGhana organises an annual fundraising event dubbed “Angel Ball”. This event is geared towards mobilising funds from supporters and the proceeds realised are channelled towards saving the lives of premature babies in Ghana. Donations are received in the form of cash, premature diapers, baby cloths, hospital bills, training, and supports for mothers and advocacy.
This year’s Angel Ball was hosted at the prestigious Accra Marriot Hotel, Airport. Patrons and donors were treated to live band music, success stories, speeches from trustees, raffle giveaways, auction and so much to eat. Representing TIS at the event was the CASSA Team, Ms. Abigail Ahiadorme, CAS Assistant, and Grace Attram, Patron of the Club and SA & Community Project Coordinator, Mrs. Surama King, CAS Coordinator and Lydia Boahen, G11, the current Interact Club Organiser. Mrs. Edith Uyovbukerhi, the Co-Founder of LittleBigSoulsGhana, acknowledged TIS and extended her gratitude, admiration and appreciation to TIS for upholding Service as a core pillar and also for its tremendous support towards a worthy cause. The team received a certificate of appreciation on behalf of Tema International School.
We are proud as a school to be associated with a worthy cause – saving the lives of premature babies in Ghana.
