The Dear Fellow Team during the Christmas break donated a set of food items and school uniform materials to Handi*Vangelism Children’s Home. Dear Fellow is an ongoing CAS Project that has adopted Handi*Vangelism Children’s Home at Haatso.
Twice a year, the Dear Fellow team, made up of IB DP students from Tema International School, visit their friends at the Children’s Home to engage with them on a number of fun, educative and charity activities. This past Christmas, the Dear Fellow team donated 45 yards of school uniform materials to the kids at Handi*Vangelism Children’s Home. The donation of the school uniform materials was upon request from the management of the home, as a number of the kids did not have school uniforms. As a bonus to the donations of the school uniform materials and within the festive mood of Christmas, the Dear Fellow team also donated 2 bags of 50kg rice and 3 containers of 25 litres cooking oil. The team also spent time with the kids over fun activities.
Dear Fellow wishes to thank everyone who supported them to donate to the kids at Handi*Vangelism. The team is currently working towards their next project, to renovate and give a face-lift to the library at the Children’s Home. They will welcome any support in the form of stationery items and computers.
Audrey Antwi-Assimeng and Mifatu Gadzekpo, both in Grade 12, initiated Dear Fellow. Tiffany Agyarko, John Abbeo, and Kojo Ohemeng, all in Grade 11, currently lead the team with support from their grade mates.
