Cathony Day is a day set for both the Catherine and Anthony Hostels to showcase hostel talent and spirit. It is an exciting event that allows members of both hostels to bond and form good relationships.

Being a member of the Catherine Hostel since 2014, I had never been so proud to be a Catherinite or be the sister hostel of the Anthony boy’s hostel till now. From my perspective, these two hostels used to be very very quiet and inactive when it came to inter hostel activities. However, this academic year’s Cathony Day proved everyone wrong, from the breakfast cooked and served by the Catherinites to the ENERGETIC chants and performances. People I never thought would stand up for our hostels were the ones that surprised me the most. The determination to make it a success was not put to waste because at the end of the day it was amazing. The zeal and excitement on that day will always give me a reason to be proud of Catherine, as well as Anthony. I am so grateful that I was part of this wonderful celebration and I am even more grateful to be part of this hostel, Catherine. It was a fun and memorable day that I would love to happen again.

The Cathony Day was honestly the best one I have ever had due to the fact that I was immensely involved in it. Since I came to the school in 2012, this has been the best Cathony Day I have had. For breakfast, we served the whole school pancakes and scrambled eggs which the school enjoyed very much. As the school’s DJ, I played some really lively music to get everyone excited and dance. Such a nice experience for me. At dinner, we did a joint chant for Anthony and Catherine and luckily for me, I led the Catherine chant. A good bonding moment for Anthony and Catherine as we all sang the same chant. Never have I ever seen Anthony and Catherine bond so much which gives me great joy because it was during my reign with Jared, Audrey and Kelsey that made this possible. II Side II Sideeee!!!!

I love my hostels so much! Never have I been this proud to be a member of the Anthony hostel. The zeal, the energy established by the Hostel executives were incredible. There was so much to eat and drink, which I loved so much. We had so much fun as brother and sister hostels, chanting, singing and jubilating everywhere. I am proud to be a member of the Anthony hostel and a very proud brother to my sisters in Catherine. We are indeed blessed.

POISE FINESSE DECO-RUM, AND WE BOYS STICK TOGETHER. CATHERINE AND ANTHONY CHALE IT’S A NICE WEATHER! Cathony- we stormed the MPH with boisterous vigour. We had truly entered the system and “nice weather” can only be described as a euphemism for what we brought to the table. With some playful banter at the expense of Francelia, new chants and hostel spirit, Cathony filled the day from beginning to end. It is safe to say that majority of the members of Cathony’s voices are still hoarse because that day definitely ate away our voices with relish. I’ll never forget the DP2s standing in the gallery hollering “TWO SIDE, TWO SIIIIDE!” to which we responded gaily. After which confetti and champagne rained down on the whole school and to top of the evening the letters CA rose slowly but graciously to the ceiling and there they still remain. Entertainment was also fun and filled with activities. I am indeed a proud member of the Catherine hostel and a proud sister to my brother hostel, Anthony.
