Kwaku Dapaah-Opoku (Owura) and Nyahan Tachie-Menson (TIS class of 2014), spoke to students this week about pursuing a career in Art & Design. Curtis Barnes-Dabban of that same year group also spoke about photography. Owura is currently attending Parsons The New School of Design in New York.
He encouraged students to follow their passions in university, and spoke to them about the positive influence the IB Diploma Programme has had on his college experience. All three of them encouraged our students to use their creative skills in TIS, create a portfolio and allow their creative side to show regardless of what field they end up in.
Additionally, Owura has been kind enough to share some of his innovative art and design projects with the students.
