The benefits of every positive venture has never succeeded in hiding anywhere under the ever-gazing eyes of the sun. The benefits and values TIS inculcates into students that are lucky enough to come through her gates are always evident in their lives long after they have left the four corners of the school. Students become synonymous with excellence and positive achievement.
Today, and again, we celebrate one of the products of Tema International School, Marie-Noelle Nwokolo (TIS IB Class of 2012), for being named as one of the two 2015 Campus Sustainability Champions by The Pennsylvania Environmental Resource Consortium (PERC) during the organization’s fall conference.
“She was recognized for organizing a series of on-campus screenings and discussions of Poverty Inc., a documentary on global-aid systems. An international business & management major and service trip volunteer, Marie-Noelle Nwokolo had viewed the documentary while attending Harvard Business School’s Africa Business Conference, and she presented the screenings and panel at Dickinson to spark a campus wide conversation around global social justice and the economic and environmental dimensions of sustainability.”
Congratulations, proud alumna of a Great School. We celebrate you for drawing attention to your alma mater for the positive reasons and we share in your joy. Continue to reach for greatness for that is the quest you have been groomed to embark on.
